{Dinner was YUM-O!!}

Soooooo glad that I received an email from Kraft Foods yesterday that contained this recipe.  This was soooo super yummy!!

Chicken Alfredo Pesto Pasta
prep time 10 min
total time 25 min
makes 4 servings, 1-1/2 cups each

What You Need
8 oz. (1/2 of 16-oz. pkg.) angel hair pasta, uncooked
2 tsp. Oil
1 lb. Boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces
2 cups Milk
1/2 cup (1/2 of 8-oz. tub) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese Spread
1 large Red pepper, cut into strips
1/4 cup KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese
2 Tbsp. Pesto

Make It
COOK pasta as directed on package. Meanwhile, heat oil in large nonstick skillet on medium heat. Add chicken; cook and stir 7 min. or until cooked through.

STIR in milk and cream cheese spread; cook 3 min. or until cream cheese spread is completely melted and mixture is well blended. Add peppers, Parmesan cheese and pesto; stir. Cook 3 min. or until heated through, stirring occasionally.

DRAIN pasta. Add to cream cheese mixture; toss to coat.

It's already Tuesday!! Woohoo!!!

I normally start off each morning by sifting through my email...which can take a little while. BUT I found this awesome $5 off $20 coupon (expires 8/29) in my inbox to O'Charley's. They also have a nice promotion of 2 meals for $14.99 going on right now. Sounds like a cheap dinner night to me!! My Daddy loves O'Charleys...so I'll probably save this for a dinner with him soon.

{It's Monday, again...}

It's Monday again...but it's actually not been a terribly bad day. This weekend was actually pretty great. I bartended Friday night for some extra $$$, which is ALWAYS fabulous & Saturday I spent the day with Kay-Bug & my Mom...I ♥ girl time. Yesterday, Kayleigh and I attended church and we were pretty lazy the rest of the afternoon until Matt came home from Ohio.


Speaking of Matt, I just got a phone call from him & he is on cloud 492 =) His reserve post just called and offered him a job for two weeks in November in Quantico, VA. He is super excited...and so am I to be quite honest. I know this will be a great learning experience for him! &&& he gets paid active duty pay, which is a Major +++. Although, I will miss him a little bit =)

So...I'm thinking dinner tonight will be something light since Matt and I are trying to do better with our eating & exercise habits. Matt has been running at night with his friend Derek and I have been walking with my Mom. I have a long way to go, but being in shape sure feels nice. So, Quiznos is sounding pretty good... & this coupon (expires 8/18) makes it sound EVEN better =)

Thursday, Thursday, Thursday....is it Friday yet??? I feel like I have been up FOREVER today. Matt left for Ohio this morning for a car show, which translates to {I got up SUPER D~Duper early} So 5:00 can roll around at any time now, pretty please??

&& to make matters worse...work is pretty boring today...
I would much rather be here rather than the seat I am sitting in...But not to say I am ungrateful for my job...I would just like more vacay time =) {'Paid, Don't have to use my PTO' vacay time} Amen, anyone??

Maybe I can find some awesome deals or some fantabulous "re-do" ideas {fingers crossed} Hopefully I can get to putting some pics from this weekend up since Matt will be gone for the next couple days. I miss him dearly while he is gone, but OH the things I get DONE while he is away!! {Love you honey!}

Just wanted to share....

So yesterday I attended my training session for the USO here in Charlotte, NC. It was GREAT!! Our USO at the Charlotte Douglas airport is an extremely nice facility. I learned a lot yesterday, got to tour the facility, and hopefully within a couple weeks I will be volunteering!! I had never heard of the USO until I was reading a blog that got me through life while Matt was away at boot camp. Whoever it was that posted the thread about the USO planted a seed in me...I wanted to see what this USO thing was all about...I WANTED to VOLUNTEER!!! I wanted to see the strong, courageous, dedicated men & women that travel through our airport as they are approaching their next destination. So now, I am able to do that & I am soooooo excited to volunteer my time. I AM PROUD TO SUPPORT THOSE WHO DEFEND ME!!

Holy geez it's HOT as BLAZES here in NC today!! Whew!! BUT...it's beautiful, so I shall not complain =)

So....it's been a couple days since my last post. (I need to get better about this) But, at least I have accomplished quite a few things since last Friday.

Wash walls/curtains/blinds & the normal house keeping routine
Oh....& the furr baby needs a bath too...Ruff Ruff!!

&&& to my surprise...I accomplished ALL of this and THEN SOME!
I bought a beautiful new piece of furniture for my dining area, decorated, painted the fireplace & decorated some more (pics hopefully to follow at some point).

But I digress...So on with today's business!!
